1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using BillGuard AI ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

BillGuard AI is an informational tool that uses artificial intelligence to analyze medical bills for potential billing errors and overcharges. The Service provides educational information about medical billing practices and generates template letters for users.

BillGuard AI is NOT a law firm, medical billing advocate, or healthcare provider. The Service does not provide legal, medical, or financial advice. All analysis, estimates, and generated letters are for informational and educational purposes only.

3. User Accounts

You must create an account to use certain features of the Service. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must provide accurate and complete information when creating your account.

4. Payments and Refunds

BillGuard AI offers a free bill scan with a tiered pay-to-unlock model for detailed reports and dispute letters. All payments are processed securely through Stripe. Prices are displayed before purchase.

Due to the immediate delivery of digital content, all sales are final. However, if you believe there was a technical error with your scan or payment, please contact us and we will review your case.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
  • Upload content that you do not have the right to share
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, hack, or disrupt the Service
  • Use the Service to commit fraud or misrepresent billing disputes
  • Resell or redistribute content generated by the Service
  • Use automated tools to access the Service without permission

6. Accuracy and Limitations

BillGuard AI uses artificial intelligence to analyze medical bills. While we strive for accuracy, AI analysis may contain errors or omissions. Fair price estimates are based on publicly available data including CMS fee schedules and regional averages, and may not reflect your specific insurance plan, negotiated rates, or geographic area.

You should independently verify any findings before taking action. We recommend consulting with a qualified medical billing advocate or attorney for significant disputes.

7. Privacy and Data Handling

Your privacy is important to us. Please review our Privacy Policy for details on how we collect, use, and protect your information. By using the Service, you consent to our data practices as described in the Privacy Policy.

8. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its design, features, and content, is owned by BillGuard AI. Generated dispute letters and reports are licensed to you for personal use only. You may not resell, redistribute, or commercially exploit generated content.

9. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, BILLGUARD AI SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, RESULTING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.

BillGuard AI does not guarantee any specific outcome from using generated dispute letters or following any recommendations provided by the Service. Results of billing disputes depend on many factors outside our control.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR COMPLETELY ACCURATE.

11. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of material changes by posting the updated terms on the Service. Your continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
